Learning Languages Origin Story

Start Again

Recently, a good friend of mine texted me “Zǎoshang hǎo.” Gentle people I got so excited a huge smile stretched across my cheeks which soon outburst into hysterical voice note of Chinese noise with joy and laughter.

I want to do it again. I want to learn again. I haven’t been practicing Chinese for a few days, if not a month now and I want to try again, start again.

Last year April, I had met a beautiful man who looked at me, his eyes glazed with awe. His gaze was like Wonder Woman’s lasso and I was caught in its rope. And my heart did confess to me that I was feeling something I’ve never felt before. And with that gaze I decided that I am that beauty the way that man’s gaze says I am.

I hope he’s somewhere prospering in life. Gentle people, to the entire Marsian community I want to build an absolutely amazing life! I want to live an amazing life. In fact I am building that amazing life for myself as we speak quite beautifully. From the bewilderment of that strange man’s captivation I started off on a quest to learn Chinese. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do.

That look, that look of awe he gave me awakened me and my imagination. And his timing was perfect. It quite happened at a time when I was exhausted, spent from overwork in my nine to five. And my soul testifies to the universe if he ever has the courage to come with me to build a beautiful life, I will multiply and make a beautiful world of anything good he invests in me.

A month and a few days ago I had completed all the lessons in the Hello Chinese app. And now I’m deciding to start again. However, this time around I won’t include the pinyin and I’ll illustrate my Chinese Lessons and post them here sometimes.

The truth is I don’t want to be alone in this life. I want to share my inner world with someone before I go. And I’ve decided well what better way is there to do it than to grow alongside others.

Accompany me! – “陪我吧。 (Péi wǒ ba.)”

Saying that aloud actually reminds me of the attack on titans song,  “Yuugure No Tori”. That song always warms my heart when I’m discouraged.

The hello Chinese App has 71 topics. Each time I cover a lesson, I’ll make an illustration and share it here. If you’ve already started learning a language and you’ve paused I hope this can be your inspiration to start again “with me”, :).

Here’s a list of the topics that I’ll be going over,
